What We Believe

Our beliefs are not just statements on a page — they are convictions that shape our worship, guide our teaching, and influence how we serve our community and one another.

We are committed to faithful preaching of the Word, authentic Christian fellowship, and living out the Gospel with grace and truth.

The Bible

God speaks to us through the Bible. The Spirit of God guided the Bible writers so that they wrote without error. The Bible contains all we need to know about God, about ourselves, and about life here and hereafter. It contains both the good news and the bad news.

Sin and Redemption

The Bad News

Sin is two-fold: willful disobedience to God's known law, and the evil twist and corruption in human nature. All men, Christ excepted, are sinful by nature and sinners by practice, and therefore are in need of redemption since “the wages of sin is death.”

The Good News

Salvation has been made possible by Christ’s atoning death on the cross. Through His death and resurrection, Christ has won a four-fold salvation: regeneration, entire sanctification, growth in grace, and immortality of body and soul.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. For our redemption, He became man, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived without sin, died for our salvation, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven where He intercedes for us.

We look for His return in power and majesty to establish His kingdom and to judge the world in righteousness.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son. He convicts sinners, regenerates believers, sanctifies Christians, magnifies Christ, and empowers believers to live victoriously.

The Ordinances

We believe Christ ordained two ordinances for His Church: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These are outward symbols of inward grace, expressing faith, hope, and devotion to Christ.

The Church

The Church is composed of true believers in Jesus Christ. Christ is the Head of the Church. Believers gather for worship, fellowship, and the proclamation of the Gospel to every creature. The Church is missionary in nature.

The Lord’s Day & The Hereafter

We keep the first day of the week as the Lord’s Day in commemoration of Christ’s resurrection. It is a day of worship and rest.

The Bible teaches that believers will spend eternity with Christ in heaven, while the wicked will be judged and sentenced to eternity apart from God.
